About Us
OUR HISTORY
Nicole Thea Foundation (NTF) was founded in memory of a beloved wife and son, whom we tragically lost on July 11th, 2020. Their passing left an unfillable void in our hearts, shattering our world and forever changing our lives. The pain and grief we experienced seemed threatening to engulf us entirely. Nicole Thea was 8 months pregnant when she collapsed at home in July 2020, and later died when doctors were unable to save her life and the life of her and Boga’s son Reign on 11 July 2020.
Charity
We are committed to providing essential resources and aid to pregnant women and newborns in need, ensuring every mother and child has access to the care and support they deserve.
Support
From prenatal guidance to postnatal care, we stand beside mothers every step of the way offering emotional, physical, and practical support during life's most transformative journey.
Health
We advocate for the health and well-being of mothers and newborns by promoting access to quality healthcare, nutritional resources, and medical awareness to ensure safe pregnancies and healthy babies.
Friends
No mother should walk this journey alone. We build a compassionate community of friends, volunteers, and advocates who uplift and empower women before, during, and after childbirth.
Continuing Nicole’s Legacy Through HCM Advocacy
We will be working to raise awareness of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) the condition Nicole had, to help save lives and by leaving a footprint of positive change to lives.
We lost a mother, a daughter, a son & a wife who suffered from HCM without knowing due to the negligence of medical staff. Nicole Thea Foundation is on a mission to raise awareness and support women with hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) conditions.
OUR MISSION
The Nicole Thea Foundation is dedicated to promoting maternal health and fostering a global movement towards better well-being for expectant mothers and their newborns. Through our collective efforts, we envision a world where every woman has access to the care and support she needs for a healthy pregnancy, a safe childbirth, and a nurturing postpartum experience, regardless of her background or circumstances. Together, we can create lasting change and contribute to a brighter, healthier future for mothers and their babies. Our mission is to educate, empower, and support women and families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period by providing accessible resources, guidance, and advocacy for improved maternal and neonatal care.
OUR IMPACT
The Nicole Thea Foundation will have a significant impact in the following ways:
Raising Awareness: By organising campaigns, events, and using various platforms to share information, the foundation will increase public awareness about the importance of maternal health and well-being.
Advocacy and Policy Change: By advocating for better maternal healthcare policies, the foundation will influence decision-makers to prioritize and invest in maternal health services. This will lead to improvements in the quality and accessibility of care for expectant mothers, especially in underserved communities.
Education and Empowerment: By providing resources, workshops, and seminars for pregnant women and their families, the foundation will empower them to make informed decisions about their care. This will result in improved maternal health outcomes and a reduction in pregnancy-related complications.
Collaboration and Partnership: By partnering with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and global organizations, the foundation could create a network of like-minded individuals and organizations working together to improve maternal health globally.
Research and Innovation: By supporting and funding research initiatives in maternal and neonatal health, the foundation will contribute to the development of new interventions and strategies that will ultimately reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality rates.
Our Projects
NANA AFRIYIE,
Founder of Nicole Thea Foundation.
“During those dark times, there were moments when I felt like giving up when the weight of sorrow seemed unbearable. I battled with overwhelming despair and even contemplated the unthinkable. But, somehow, within the depths of my anguish, a glimmer of hope emerged, guiding me forward. For some reason, I found the strength to keep going, to persist in the face of unimaginable pain. Now, I have discovered my purpose through the Nicole Thea Foundation—a purpose born out of the determination to prevent any other mother from enduring such profound loss and heartache. Our mission is to safeguard the lives of precious babies, ensuring that no mother has to experience the devastation that our family has endured”

Volunteering is more than just offering your time—it is about becoming a source of hope, compassion, and change in the lives of others. Stories like this remind us that even in the deepest pain, purpose can be found, and through that purpose, lives can be touched and transformed. By becoming a volunteer, you stand beside those who are struggling, helping to lighten their burden and ensure they are not alone. Whether it is supporting families, raising awareness, or contributing to meaningful causes, every small act of kindness creates a ripple effect. When you choose to volunteer, you become part of something greater than yourself—a movement driven by empathy, resilience, and the desire to make the world a safer, more caring place for everyone.
